A massive battle, Der Klassiker, is set for Tuesday at Signal Iduna Park as second-place Borussia Dortmund welcomes first-place Bayern Munich in Bundesliga action with a lot on the line. Both teams have won their first two games since play resumed earlier this month, with Bayern Munich entering the contest with a four-point lead atop the table. A win for Bayern may all but end the title race, while a win for Dortmund blows the race wide open, making it a one-point race entering next weekend's action. Bayern will be confident in beating Dortmund again, while the hosts hope their rising young stars can rise to the occasion in what's the biggest game of the season so far for both.

Storylines

Dortmund: A six-game winning streak has Dortmund flying, and there is a real confidence in this side that it can come back and get revenge after falling 4-0 to Bayern earlier in the season. The attack has been quick and clinical, and the defense has also been able to control Schalke and Wolfsburg. Dortmund will be tested against a Bayern team that just scored five goals against Eintracht Frankfurt, but Dortmund has conceded just one goal in its last six league games. Emre Can is expected to play after participating in the second half of their last game, while Axel Witsel doesn't appear to be 100 percent fit.

Bayern: No Thiago Alcantara for Bayern is a tough blow for Bayern as the Brazilian continues to deal with an adductor injury. He missed Saturday's 5-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt and did not train on Monday, meaning coach Hansi Flick will likely go with a similar lineup to what he used in the last game. He went with Joshua Kimmich in the center with both Thomas Muller and Leon Goretzka next to him in what was a more attacking lineup than in previous matches. With Dortmund typically playing three at the back, Bayern could opt for a more reserved lineup knowing that a draw would also be a good result.
